"Mindfulness: Practises to Grow Self Knowledge"
Course Description:
Mindfulness practices, in
addition to growing emotional intelligence and improving our relationship with
ourselves and others, also help us relate to life in a healthy way.
These mind-training practices
are being used in schools, hospitals, the military, police & fire
departments, with athletes, and businesses.
Mindfulness trains
your attention so you can be present and aware of what’s occurring in your
life. Practising in this way over time,
expands your awareness so every activity becomes a meditation. Thus these
practises can be done anywhere, anytime, and aren’t limited to a meditation
cushion.
This life skills class will
teach strategies on stabilizing the mind, noticing thought patterns,
cultivating kindness and acceptance, recognizing feelings and sensations, and growing attention.
Scientific research shows
Mindfulness positively changes the brain, regulates emotion, and reduces
loneliness & chronic pain.
